The Rise and Fall of Wallpaper

Wallpaper has made a comeback with some of the coolest looking designs ever. Painted walls are just too boring these days and adding some wallpaper to a feature wall or the entire room really takes it up a notch. However, if you still have wallpaper up that is over 15 years old, your wallpaper is not the kind I am talking about. Time to update! Do not fear, those 80's designs are gone and in their place are some really fun and modern patterns.

Let's take a look at what was then and what is now:

I hope these aren't looking too familiar to you, like in the other room familiar. Time to take it down!

Today's Wallpaper:

Stripes are always in style.

These are some really great kid's wallpaper.

This is a great example of vintage looking wallpaper that has an updated design and feel.

So chic!

If you don't want to dive head first into the new wallpaper trend, try papering a feature wall instead of the entire room.
Or, you can also just paper one large panel and frame it in trim for an art piece look.

So, are you loving these wallpapers? I am! Just remember, it's not going to last you for 15 years, yes this stuff will go out of style so if you don't update often, don't go too crazy and wallpaper every wall in your house! A little powder room here and a feature wall there will be just right.

In relation to that Frame Idea---- You can also frame some wrapping paper or scrapbooking paper for some custom, inexpensive wall art! :)
